The scientific-technical objectives of this work package are to develop a strategy for real-time assessment of predisposing or indicative disease conditions in the environment and host (environmental and animal health, respectively) and to minimise the risk of disease occurrence and transmission through the application of digital biosecurity strategies.<\/p>

To this end, intermediate objectives include the study of the farms selected for the project, sensorisation with IoT technology and the implementation of environmental management models and the development of individual (farm) monitoring of risks to animal health and welfare through internal biosecurity, with optimisation of different factors of this internal biosecurity.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The objective of this work package is to develop an artificial intelligence system that integrates the information obtained in the previous work packages and results in plans for the integrated management of biosecurity and transport logistics. These plans will be applied and the impact on improving the health, productivity and logistics management of the system will be assessed, examining the human constraints in their application, which will allow refining their implementation.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The overall objective of the Work Package is to develop biotechnological tools for the diagnosis, prevention and efficient control of bacterial pathogens in livestock production through the application of innovative biotechnological tools that contribute to reduce the use of antibiotics in the primary sector and to reduce the spread of antimicrobial resistance and the presence and growth of pathogens and other unwanted bacteria throughout the agri-food chain \u2018from farm to fork\u2019. To this end, the following sub-objectives are proposed:<\/p>

  1. To develop new systems for the rapid detection of pathogens that allow their integration into early warning networks and the implementation of immediate control\/containment\/treatment measures at early stages, thus contributing to the reduction of the significant economic losses associated with the impact of disease transmission on animal health, public health and the environment.<\/li>
  2. Minimise the risk of occurrence and transmission of infectious diseases of bacterial origin, including zoonoses, through the optimised application of new biotechnological tools based on bacteriophages along the whole agri-food chain (production, slaughter and processing).<\/li>
  3. To develop and validate in a relevant environment new biotechnological tools as alternatives to the use of antibiotics, which contribute to improving animal health, public health and the sustainability of the agri-food system.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
